Hi, I'm Omar

As a teenager, I started training dogs for friends, family and myself. As I gained experience I began to train professionally, concentrating on problem dogs for private individuals.

During this time, I also trained police dogs for the Miami Dade Police Department, as well as competed in the sport of Schutzhund and French Ring.

In 1993 I moved from Miami to Los Angeles where I began to train dogs for celebrities, and the motion picture industry. Some of my credits movie credits include, The Italian Job, Four Brothers, Jackass 3D, and Water for Elephants.

The accomplishment I am most proud of is the role Uggie played on the Academy Award winning film, The Artist. Uggie, a Jack Russell received several awards worldwide including the first dog to have his paw prints immortalized on the Hollywood Walk of Fame (6298 Hollywood Blvd).

Training dogs remains my passion. Throughout the years, I have developed my own training techniques that can be applied depending upon temperament and demeanor. I use these techniques and a unique friendship to train dogs for both the entertainment industry and private individuals.

At present, I reside in Los Angeles, CA area with my wife, two daughters, and a stable of talented canine actors.

If you live in the LA area and prefer to have me work with your dog in person (rather than Zoom), contact me to ask about my availability.
